The Explorer Chair is designed for easy outdoor or indoor manoeuvring and for climbing small ridges and gutters. This enables the patient greater access to outdoor areas which may not have been possible before. Hand brakes are fitted to the Explorer to aid in slowing the chair down slopes and the chair is also fitted with a lever lock option that acts as a park brake.
The recliner is a combination of quality components, materials and unique design that delivers a comfortable, easy-care solution for the elderly or those requiring special needs seating. It has been designed with therapists and care providers for ultimate patient comfort.
The Explorer is vehicle tested to Australian Standards at 125kg and nationally approved for patient seated vehicle transport.
