Here is a new range of clothing for children with sensory processing disorders such as impaired proprioception.  While these garments might look like typical kids clothes, they have been designed to provide gentle pressure to muscles and joints and are worn to assist with calming and fit snugly on the body.

Garments are constructed inside out with seams on the outside sewn down. Labels are printed onto the fabric to avoid irritating skin. Fabric is 280g premium quality combed cotton Lycra blend that is extra strong and soft against the skin with no piling. Clothes are machine washable, care labels are easily removed and the rib on neck and cuffs are made from 100 per cent organic cotton.

Deep pressure input is said to deliver a positive effect across a number of areas for the child, including their ability to attend activities, engage in tasks or interact with others in rough and tumble play.
