A clinical education facility for multiple professions has opened at the Sydney Adventist Hospital. The one-stop $17.7 million centre offers a multi-disciplinary training model providing clinical placements for health professionals including medical, nursing, occupational therapy, dietetics and physiotherapy. To help address national health workforce shortages it is expected that by 2016 the centre will deliver more than 20,000 clinical training days a year to meet current and future demands. The facility is the first building in a precinct where it is planned that health professionals can work, learn and live, linking opportunities to work at the hospital with residential accommodation and the education area.
