Wheelchair-sports FINALThe GIO Summer Down Under Series Oz Day 10K takes place at The Rocks, Sydney on Australia Day. This major sporting event on the international wheelchair calendar attracts road racers from around the world with the 10K event a big crowd puller. As well as local and overseas marathon champions including Kurt Fearnley and Joshua George from the USA, young guns including paralympian Rheed McCracken, will be competing in the under-18 junior category.

The Wheelchair Track and Road Racing series runs from January 18-27, with free events including the Canberra Track Meets at the Australian Institute of Sport on January 20-21; The Sydney Twilight Track Meet at the Crest Athletic Track, Bankstown on January 24 and the Oz Day Road Race, Alfred Street, The Rocks on January 26, 9am-11am. Spectator entry to all track and road events is free and there will be a free breakfast served from 8am at the Oz Day 10K event.
