Power golf flyer FINAL EG_A4FLIER_SYDNEYIt’s accessible, fun and free and becoming more popular for people with disability. Return2Sport is running another round of its Empower Golf Clinic at Moore Park Golf Course, Sydney on October 31. Organiser James Gribble said anyone can attend as the golf clinics cater for almost every disability.

“We have had people with ABIs, spina bifida, cerebral palsy, people who are blind or deaf, amputees or those with mobility issues attending. We have had 10-year old children and 75-year olds come along.” And because of the sport’s unique handicap system it allows individuals to compete irrespective of age, gender or ability.

“Golf is a lifelong sport and with the implementation of the NDIS is providing greater support to people with disability to enjoy leisure activities,” Gribble said.

It costs nothing to attend a clinic but there is a hire fee for the Paragolfer if used at Moore Park outside the clinic. Participants catch up afterwards in the club house for some casual socialising.
