The National Disability Insurance Agency plans to publish a list of continence providers to help participants easily access and compare continence support, services and product information from the NDIS website.
According to the agency it can be challenging for participants and their families to talk about and find credible information about continence services and providers.
It is inviting registered providers of continence supports to submit an expression of interest (EOI) for inclusion on the list which is intended to:
- find better information
- select the right provider for their needs
- access transparent pricing and product information
- make an informed choice
- get better value from their plan budget.
An evaluation panel that includes a participant representative will review submissions and select providers to be included on the list, based on product range, geographic coverage, delivered price and customer responsiveness.
Participants do not have to use the providers on the list and can continue to use their current provider or switch to another provider of their choice.
The EOI closes on August 17, 2021, with the list due to be published in September 2021.
