SISTERWOULD has launched an innovative hair care range in formulas to suit the blind and visually impaired. The shampoo has a granulated texture while the conditioner is a thicker consistency making it easy to differentiate between the two.

Products carry a tactile imprinting system for those who cannot read braille with horizontal lines for shampoo and dots for conditioner.

Developed in partnership with Vision Australia the range offers ethical and sustainable hair products with antioxidant-rich native botanicals

Give Me Life Shampoo, comes with Finger Lime and River Mint extracts while the addition of Watermelon Seed Oil leaves hair nourished, healthy and strong from root to tip. Give Me Life Conditioner, is a gentle formula suitable for sensitive scalps, that also acts as a hair mask, with Shea Butter, Jojoba Esters and Aloe Vera to replenish moisture and restore shine. The products retail at $58 each.

Co-founders Rina Gocaj-Bekiri and Floriye Elmazi were motivated to develop the products by visually impaired family members.

The products are available online although there are plans to eventually have retail distribution, Rina told F2L. “This is a first-of-its kind brand on the market that is manufactured locally.”
