Not-for-profit disability services group Northcott is bringing sexuality and disability into view with an interactive and in-person event for adults (18+) with disability and their support networks including families, carers and disability professionals, to learn about sexuality in a fun and welcoming environment.

Feel the Vibe is a free event that will feature talks on adult products, sexuality, the NDIS and sexual health with exhibitor stalls, entertainment and a luxury boudoir for photo shoots, dancing, lucky door prizes, a drag performance and catering.

Northcott clinical lead counsellor Amanda Damian will speak about the human rights of people with disability, while Northcott relationship counsellor Patrick Hukins will facilitate a panel discussion with people with disability to discuss breaking down the taboos on intimacy and relationship goals.

Northcott is the first Australian disability organisation to offer a Sexuality and Relationship Education Service. Historically people with disability receive fewer opportunities to learn about sexuality and sexual health and it is an area often overlooked or regarded as not needed, for people with a disability.

It’s all happening on November 2, from 5pm – 10pm, and at The Grange, Kembla Grange, in the Illawarra region of NSW.
