Special Olympics DanceSport – Perth

Special Olympics WA is hosting their DanceSport Competition as part of its 2025 State Games. This is suitable for dancers with intellectual disabilities and/or autism who have been participating in regular DanceSport training, either with Special Olympics or through another program.

This is a qualifying event for the Special Olympics Australia National Games and DanceSport has been selected as a demonstration sport for the National Games.

Dance styles that will be accessed include ballroom, street dance, performing arts, and specialty. Performances will be assessed on musicality, choreography execution, athleticism and presentation.

Each dancer is invited to perform:

• One couple or duo routine
• One team routine

Music must be submitted to chairman@padwa.org.au by September 14, 2025.
