Celebrate art and disability this International Day of People with Disability with a Melbourne Fringe Radical Access conversation on December 6.

This 90-minute online event will feature artists with intellectual disabilities. Hear about their creative practices, how the arts sector can create accessibility for artists with intellectual disability, what they need from arts organisations the government and funding bodies to ensure greater support, and what they want to see celebrated this IDPwD.

Speakers are from Arts Centre Melbourne, Back to Back Theatre and two emotion 21 dancers, all friends of Fringe.

Caroline Bowditch, CEO of Arts Access Victoria, a Radical Access partner, will introduce the event.

The conversation will be Auslan interpreted with the opportunity for the audience to ask questions. It will be recorded and available to watch on the Fringe YouTube after the event.

Date: Tuesday December 6
Time: 11.00 am – 12.30 pm including a 15 min break
Location: Melbourne Fringe’s YouTube
