The ATSNZ Disability Expo, New Zealand’s leading exhibition for rehabilitation, disability, aged care equipment and services will be held on March 16-17, 2021 in Auckland.
The event is being held in partnership with the Assistive Technology Suppliers New Zealand which represents suppliers of products and services from the industry and organiser, Interpoint Events NZ.
The key objectives of both the event and the Association are to advance public interest in the provision of assistive technology (AT) that contributes and supports New Zealanders through funding, promotion and education.
The ATSNZ Disability Expo offers a comprehensive free-to-attend conference to allied health professionals, clinicians, occupational therapists, carers, Not-for-profit organisations, district health boards, people with disability and the wider public with an interest in AT.
According to ATSNZ executive officer, Dr Ingrid van Rijn, the peak industry association for AT suppliers, comprising a cross section of manufacturers, equipment suppliers and service providers, operates throughout New Zealand delivering products and services on a daily basis.
“The ATSNZ Disability Expo offers a platform for our members to showcase the very best of our industry over a two-day period to a nationwide audience at an easy to access venue in a relaxed and informative environment. We welcome all new members who will also receive a 15 per cent discount on any exhibition space taken at the event in 2021,” she said.
Interpoint Events managing director, Simon Cooper said: “If ever there was a time for a nationally based event specialising in the provision of AT services and products by those who require these services, then this is the time”. He believes the positive response to the 2019 expo will grow the event to represent the best of AT technologies that delivers a free exhibition together with an informative speaker program.
The event will be held at the Sir Woolf Fisher Arena, Vodafone Events Centre, Manukau, Auckland where over 50 exhibitors will showcase their latest products and services and visitors will have the opportunity to attend free education seminars.
