The Learning Difference Convention has just achieved BOSTES PD accreditation.

By attending the convention seminars, teachers have the opportunity to receive a certificate that goes toward their professional development accreditation from the Board of Studies.

The event provides teachers, allied health workers and parents with the opportunity to learn more about dyslexia.

There is a full program of seminars and free technology workshops with speakers from the US, the UK, NZ and Australia.

Among the international speakers are Professor Albert Galaburda from the Harvard Clinical and Translational Science Centre who will speak about Developmental Dyslexia and Bernadette McLean from the Helen Arkell Dyslexia Centre in the UK on Dyslexia Friendly Classrooms.  Other seminar topics include Supporting Literacy through Assistive Technology, Identifying and Dealing with Barriers to Learning, Assessing Reading and Diagnosing Dyslexia and Auditory Processing Disorder.

The convention will be held at Rosehill Gardens, Sydney on August 6 and 7.
