The ATSA Independent Living Expo returns to Brisbane in two weeks’ time, with more exhibitors and speakers than previous years. The conference has grown to take place over two days on Wednesday May 15 and Thursday May 16.

A major feature of the expo’s free conference program is National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) assistive technology director,  Lloyd Walker’s sessions, which take place on the second day of the show. Walker has more than 20 years expertise in rehabilitation engineering and enhancing participation of people with disabilities and the aged.

Two panels also join the conference program on the Wednesday, including a panel of occupational therapists from OT Australia and a Q&A panel.

More than 80 exhibitors will be at the show, including Specialised Wheelchair Company, TabTimer, Wild West Wheelchairs, OT Australia, Blue Badge Insurance and more.

Four international speakers and more than 25 local speakers make up the conference program, which has 18 family and consumer education sessions, and 18 clinical sessions.
