The Physical Disability Council of NSW is seeking sector endorsement for its COVID-19 Position Statement.

“With no way of knowing how long the pandemic is likely to continue, it is vitally important that the Federal and State Governments commit to ensuring that people with disability receive the supports and assistance they need, and are given the opportunity, as key stakeholders to contribute to decisions that directly affect their lives,” PDCN CEO, Serena Ovens said.

On April 24, a Zoom discussion will also take place: 1:30-2:30 pm.
University of NSW Disability Innovation Institute director, Professor Jackie Leach Scully will talk through the ethical considerations around distributing ICU medical resources during COVID-19. PCDN is asking for a NSW protocol to be set up to manage the distribution of ICU resources if demand exceeds supply, to achieve a fair, transparent protocol shaped by public consultation.
