At the opening night of the film Wonka in Brisbane guests enjoyed ‘choctails’ created by chocolatier and Paralympian Gerrard Gosens.
There was also entertainment from the Oompa Loompas, diminutive characters who work in Willy Wonka’s chocolate factory.
The preview party was a fundraiser for Gosen’s planned epic swim across the English Channel next year, when he hopes to be the first blind person to achieve this goal with the Belgian chocolate maker Callebaut a major sponsor.
Gosens and his wife Heather create the sweets at his ‘Chocolate Moments’ boutique in Brisbane. He turned his hand to chocolate making due to his heightened sense of taste and taste.
