Time is running out to submit nominations for the 2014 Australian Human Rights Awards.  The awards recognise the outstanding contributions of inspiring individuals and community organisations from across the country.

Entrants must have made a significant contribution to the promotion and protection of human rights in Australia and been active in this area between September 2013 and September 2014.

Nominees are entered in either general or media categories.  The general category includes The Community Organisation Award, The Community Individual Award, The Human Rights Medal, The Young People’s Human Rights Medal and The Law Award.  Nominees can also be entered in the media category that includes Non-Fiction Literature, Print & Online Media, Radio and Television.

Nominations close on September 26, 2014 and the awards will be presented on December 10, 2014.
