Businesses wanting to deliver Disability Employment Services (DES) need to register by August 29.  In a statement, Assistant Minister for Social Services, Jane Prentice, said a new panel of DES providers is being established to help people with disability find and keep a job.

“Only organisations that register will be invited to apply to join the new panel through a restricted grant application process next month,” the Minister said. The panel will be delivering the new DES program that was announced in the May Budget, with the aim of improving outcomes for participants, providers and employers.

Organisations can nominate their preferences for the type of service and locations where they plan to deliver DES in the future.

The DES program provides specialist employment services to assist people with disability, injury or a health condition find and retain employment in the open labour market. It also provides support to employees with disability and their employers.

To register, organisations need to complete the Registration of Interest form on the Department of Social Services, Community Grants Hub website. For more information visit the DSS Engage website.
