Tim Wilson has joined the Australian Human Rights Commission as Human Rights Commissioner. Wilson’s role will focus on promoting and advancing human rights and freedoms. He was formerly policy director at the Institute of Public Affairs
The Commission is an independent statutory body that works to resolve complaints of discrimination or breaches of human rights under federal laws. It also helps develop education programs and resources for schools, workplaces and the community as well as providing advice to courts, parliaments and governments.
