Lutheran Services Graceville Centre is tooling up its NDIS support.

For more than 50 years, the Graceville Centre has provided disability and mental health services and supported living accommodation at its Nambour site.

Program manager Ola Olubiyi said the community services team delivers comprehensive programs across a wide region from the Glasshouse Mountains to Gympie.

“We have seven tailored programs that allow our clients to set goals and achieve new skills and currently support 140 clients from full-time care to outreach programs for people living independently,’’ she said.

Its Keystone disability services centre has just launched The Shed Project, which follows loosely on the UK TV show, The Repair Shop, where clients learn woodworking, furniture restorations and more, with a call-out for donations of used tools in good condition to help get the project off the ground.

This first for the organisation will be run at the Keystone Centre, Woodridge, which if successful, will be considered for expansion to other Lutheran NDIS services in Queensland.

In October, the Sunshine Coast Graceville centre will host its annual Art Festival for people with disability.
