The Victorian Disability Sport and Recreation Awards (VDSR Awards) finalists across 11 categories have been announced.

The awards recognise the achievements of sportspeople with disability, coaches, organisations, officials and volunteers who support them.  

 Entrants are nominated by state sporting associations, regional sport assemblies, local government, teammates, club members, coaches or their local community across Victoria in recognition of their outstanding contribution to inclusive sport and recreation. There was a 33 per cent increase in nominations this year particularly for Initiative of the Year, which tripled in submissions.

Finalists in the Female Sports category are: Carol Cooke –para cycling (pictured); Phoebe Mitchell – swimming and Shae Graham – wheelchair rugby. Finalists in the Male Sports category are: Jaryd Clifford – para athletics; Josh Barry – lawn bowls and Clint Pickin – para triathlon.

Winners will be announced at a virtual event on December 3, 2020, the International Day of People with Disability.
