Guy from TA doing marathonMatt Wylde, operations manager at Patient Handling, is taking on a 100km marathon for charity. The Ultra-Trail Australian marathon will be held in the Blue Mountains National Park, NSW, on May 14, with Wylde and his three companions aiming to raise $5000 across three charities. Wylde has selected Hearts in Union that assists players who have suffered severe spinal injury during a rugby game. The other two charities to benefit are Stroke Foundation Australia and the Ovarian Cancer Research Foundation.

At an elevation of 4300m and thousands of stairs, it is estimated that the event, which is the equivalent of 2.5 marathons, will take from 16 to 28 hours to complete. Starting time is 7am on Saturday May 14 and finishing time is up to 11am on Sunday May 18.
