How do individuals with intellectual disabilities express and shape their online identities and social connections through social media?

Are you a person with an intellectual disability who wants to share your experience?

Take part in a research study with the University of Sydney and Centre for Disability Studies to share how social media helps you express yourself and connect with others.

Participants will take part in a semi-structured one-on-one interview, online or in person. The interviews are designed to be relaxed, fully supported, and guided by participant choice.

As part of the interview, participants will be invited to scroll through some of their past social media posts during the conversation and choose one or two to share with the interviewer, reflect on what they shared, why they shared it, and how it made them feel — in their own words and at their own pace.

All participation is voluntary, anonymous, and confidential.
