It was a sell-out crowd at The Goods Shed in Toowoomba for the 2021 Business Disability Awards. The awards recognise people and businesses that are helping to create a more inclusive workplace and community for people for all abilities.

The top gong, the Judy Antonio Memorial Award, was given to Desmond Orr, pictured, who in 1976 founded HHelp, the first disability support organisation to be certified against Queensland’s new disability standards. Now known as YellowBridge QLD, it is one of Toowoomba’s leading Disability Support Services.

There were 10 award categories presented at the event including the Innovation and Access Award to Inclusion Access and the Business Engagement Award went to Ability Enterprises.
