Motivational speaker, wellness advocate, model, and founder of The Next Step Spinal Injury Recovery & Wellness Centre, Rhiannon Tracey, has been announced as the 2025 Melbourne Disability Expo Ambassador.
Rhiannon has challenged expectations and stereotypes throughout her life.
Just before her 21st birthday, a pool accident left her a quadriplegic, told she would never walk again.
But she learned to walk short distances with crutches while building a life and career that has inspired thousands.
Since her injury, Rhiannon has founded The Next Step, a spinal injury recovery centre partnering with Griffith University to bring stem cell clinical trials to Victoria.
She also made history as the first female wheelchair user to walk the runway at Melbourne Fashion Week, and was named Cosmopolitan’s Game Changer Woman of the Year.
She has gone on to become a sought-after speaker, sharing her challenges, thoughts and joy on multiple platforms.
This month, Rhiannon will take to the stage as the official ambassador for the Melbourne Disability Expo held on Friday 21st and Saturday 22nd November at the Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre.
She’ll be sharing her story in a live Q&A, connecting with attendees, and offering insights into disability advocacy, mental health, and inclusive wellness.
