The red carpet is ready for the 2025 Focus on Ability Awards event.
To be held on Sunday 16 November in Sydney, the event is where the winners of this year’s Focus on Ability Short Film Festival will be announced.
This year’s festival saw 283 finalists from 26 countries across six categories.
They’re judged by a professional panel and an online voting process.
It’s the 17th consecutive year for the festival, which showcases the filmmaking talents and abilities of people with disabilities.
Earlier this year, filmmakers of all experience levels were invited to submit short films or documentaries of less than five minutes in length. Each entry highlighted the lives, talents, and achievements of individuals with disabilities.
Past films have been both educational and inspirational, reaching audiences in over 170 countries and more than 4 million film views.
The red carpet event in Sydney next month will allow filmmakers to experience the thrill of seeing their work on the big screen. Some will even have their films broadcast on national television after the awards ceremony.
Register here for free for the red carpet event by November 2.
